Amazing zoners that have influenced you!

On the zone, we see people being bashed all the time because of their differences, because of certain circumstances, but do we ever see any good or posative attitudes going on? There are many people whom we admire. Some just are so amazing, and some just have a natural charm that you wish you had. Who are some of the zoners that have influenced you! Who on here is someone who has inspired you, who you wish you were like? Who here has made you see the real potential in you, if anyone?... Has anyone on the zone affected you in such a posative manner?

Post 2 by MelodicFate (Zone BBS Addict) on Tuesday, 24-Mar-2009 16:22:24

Ok, so I think I finally figured out what I wanted to say, lol.
The zoners that I admire and have influenced me are Dan AKA benito mussolini, Martin AKA SexOnLegsButNothingBetweenThem, and Herv. I admire Dan because he makes me laugh, and he cares about his friends. He's been there for me when I needed him. Martin is admirable to me because I think he is a strong person, and he's also been there for me when I was going through hard times. Lastly, I admire Herv because he's always there for his friends no matter what. He's given me a little more confidence in myself, and has been there to listen to me, and helped me get through some things. All three of these people are admirable to me, and I am glad I was able to meet them.

Post 3 by Jesse (Hmm!) on Tuesday, 24-Mar-2009 16:52:35

I've always had a certain admiration for Shea. To me, her story of living the normal life, then going blind later would be terrible, but she totally made the best of the situation, and has such a positive attitude. I'm so glad she found true love, and got married, and I'm glad that instead of being like the majority of self-absorbed people out there, she didn't wallow in her problems, but made something of herself.
Kia, great topic!

Post 4 by Elenhiia (Feather'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr for president!) on Tuesday, 24-Mar-2009 22:43:13

People who influenced me:

Sean, (just Sean)--his ability to hold out thirty-seven years longer (and he's still alive!) then he was supposed to is admirable. When you get beneath his public persona, the jokey sexual one, you see someone with some good insights and a gentle heart.

I think Angela (Canadiansinginggirl) is maybe not as admirable as some, but has influenced me. As she has tried to grow up, her attempts--and her successes--at doing so have also helped me.

Ben (benmc) has influenced me as well. Beneath his quiet, somewhat awkward, and shy exterior there is a truly good heart. And the thing is, with most people who influence you or whom you look up to, there's a certain strong, superhuman quality to them. Not so, Ben's just as human as everyone else and deals with it more admirably than most do--and than most think.

Herv definitely has influenced me. He's listened to me ramble on and on incoherently when that was all I needed to do. lol! He's totally cool and extremely nice and he's there for his friends.

Geoff (Sledge) because he's got some amazing insights and he always seems pretty calm and collected--but here's one of those who seems cold and superhuman, utterly unreachable.

And then there are the people who have influenced me because I've vowed to never be as cold, unfeeling, blah blah blah, as they seem--or as superior toward others that are not their version of "cool" that they feel it's okay to do that... but let's not go in to that, lol, it's a positivity board.

And like the last poster--awesome topic!

Post 5 by Sword of Sapphire (Whether you agree with my opinion or not, you're still gonna read it!) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 0:26:33

Kia, nice topic.
There are five people here who I really admire or have influenced me.
1: Hanif, aka milo theory.
I admire him because he is very calm and doesn't take offense to all the insults thrown his way. He's a very happy, outgoing, precocious, and upbeat person. There's never enough people like that anymore. And he's very encouraging, and also realistic.
2: Jim aka ponderer
He is such a wonderful person! He's inspired me and has helped me progress with my novel. He's given me different ways to look at different situations. And it's always fun to find another grammar geek like myself. He's very intelligent, and a good influence.
3: Shiloh aka playinradio81
I love him so much! because he's been there for me quite often. He's very good at cheering others up and making them laugh until their sides hurt. He's able to joke about anything and is very laid-back. He's quite an inspiration.
4: Veronica aka cellest
She is such a wonderful person! She's helped me out with the harp and taught me many interesting things. She has also had an influence on some of my writing.
5: Annie aka hotcelticgirl
She's very generous and friendly. She's a very nice person to talk to. She's polite, courteous, and isn't known to tell others off and go off on people. I love that about her. She's very persistent and is good at pursuing what she desires.

Post 6 by Shadow_Cat (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 5:19:56

Good topic, Kia. We could always use more positive ones like this around here.

Post 7 by Jesse (Hmm!) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 10:27:12

Agree on Hanif, too!

Post 8 by kiayaj! (You're favorite rebel!) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 11:27:36

Right, after reading a couple of your responses, I guess I have to write mine down, too!

Milo Theory (hanif) He's just amazing, and has taught me so much! 1) be honest with oneself no matter how hard it is, 2) don't ever let anyone walk over you, 3) stand up for what you believe in.
Although he has his faults like everyone else, he's just so amazing, so admireable, and no matter where life takes me, hanif will always have a place in my heart, will always be welcomed in my life! He's just one of those friends who you never wanna let go of, One of those rare true friends! I love you! <3

Crazy (Herv) You awesome lemon babyyyy! let me just say, you're awesome, and that I love youuu! You'll always be my one and only sexual partner, and we both know that all the girls are just jealous cause they all want you, but you only want mee! :p!

Q (quinten) Oy, you amazing thing you! Only thing I can say is that you just wow me! <3 now go on pretending that you're more dangerous than me, cause we both know, that I'm more dangerous! :p

Cameron McTeapot (MorellChop) You shitbox thing, You're just so awesome! And I love love love your witty writings! oy, you just are special! Lol, and, I want Boris back!

Orie9303 (Kayla) Oooh, my twanggy babyy! She's just awesome, so fun, so cute, and lol, She's just one of those zoners that is friendly all around! She greets everyone, has no shit with no one, and is just so laid back! Love ya, girl! <3

Yuriko (Lorie) Mmmm, i love you, lorie! You're just so fun, and i also love you're witty board posts! Even though you have so much shit in your life, you just are so, adorable! lol I love you, my toilet drinker!

DancingAfterDark (Chelsea) huuuge hogs, <333 I just admirer you! lol, just you also being laid back not having shit with people, but being able to state your oppinion. Dunno, just admire you, i guess!

Right, that's all who i can think up for now!

My zone hero is admin/j-squared. He's always reilable, easy to get ahold of, and goes above and beyond for the zone. Admin, will you gurgle my babies and then swallow them?

Post 10 by kiayaj! (You're favorite rebel!) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 16:24:10

Aaaah, and i forgot to mention Internet King/Vanja! yeah ok, he may come on here drunk and give us all a good laugh, but he's actually made something of himself! Vanja, oy you, you are just,...you! Having your own business and such...just, wow!

Huuuge rib cracking hugs!

Awwww, Scotty Potty, but you are my number one, in so many ways!
What with that very yummy voice mail you sent me the other day .... oooohh babbyyy, just thinking of it has me wet all over again! :p
So, stuff Admin! lmao

Post 12 by MelodicFate (Zone BBS Addict) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 17:22:22

I totally agree Kia. I admire him for that as well. Anyone who can start their own business, and be as successful as he is deserves admiration. Plus, he's an awesome friend, and says what's on his mind, no matter what.

Post 13 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 18:24:55

Oh I can't believe I'm actually going to post this, I know I'll regret it as soon as I do. I hate writing this weird emotional kind of stuff. Kiaaaaaaa, my silver love, feel special because I wouldn't do it for just anyone lol. <333

1) Vanja / InternetKing: I don't even know what to say. So many things he's done for me and so many ways he's helped me, I don't really want to try and list them all. He's just put up with me for all this time, even when I made it difficult and he's helped me to have more confidence in myself than I ever had before, listened to more of my overemotional rambles than I want to think about ... made me feel able to make those rambles in the first place. We've had some not-so-fun times, but we made it through them, and even when things are distant between us he's still one of the only people I really feel comfortable talking to about the important stuff. And then there are the things that will never be mentioned on this or any other board, but are still really important and memorable to me. Even if we went totally separate ways and never spoke again, he would always have a place in my heart. Lovelove. Wow that was stupidly cheesy, ugh.
2) Kai / Wraith: Well this one's pretty obvious so ... yeah. Lol there are lots of limits to my emotion-revealing abilities, so I'm not saying anything else.
3) Hanif / Milo Theory: Seriously. After all the stuff he deals with and all the stuff that's gone on with us (and other people), he still manages to be so positive and just ... nice. It's really rare to find a person who can put all the differences and disagreements in the past where they should be and actually form friendships with people who were formerly enemies, in the lightest sense of the word lol. I just totally admire his spirit and strength.
4) Cortney / Torico: Not for any specific reason, just it's almost unheard of for me to find a person I really feel like I can connect with, someone who's so like me that it's a little weird sometimes. And it's even more unheard of for me to get along so well with a girl, lol. Sometimes she writes things and reading it is just, like seeing a piece of myself laid out in plain view and it's kind of amazing to me. Wow again that was stupidly cheesy, ugh ugh. She's the first Zone person I would actually like to meet, one of the only ones I never felt uncomfortable or awkward or nervous with at all. If not for her I never would've dared to attempt VT, although I'm not sure that's such a positive thing in her favor :P. I actually envy her a little, but that's another topic in itself.
5) All the people who manage to stay out of the drama, and who are always so friendly to everyone and never have any issues with people, even the ones everyone else seems to clash with. There are only a couple of these people but I definitely think they deserve some recognition.

And there's one more, but I'm not mentioning them by name. Our friendship hasn't quite gotten to the solid point where I feel comfortable doing that. I wish I could though, because I think what they've done for me and the effect they've had on me is one of the most important that anyone could ever manage. The little things mean so much more to me than anything else, when people help without me even asking and without really intending to, just by being who they are and ... this person is just overflowing with that kind of awesomeness. Thank you <3.

*runs, hides, dies*

Post 14 by CrazedMidget (Sweet fantacy's really do come in small packages!) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 18:32:25

Ok, so reading the responses made me think of my influences.

1. Crazy aka Herv: You have tought me so much, and have helped me get through things when I need you. I can't imagine living life without you around.

2. Cam aka Shark: Whenever I need someone to talk to, and open up to, I can always talk to cam. I really hope we can still be close friends even though you have a gf now.

3. I know you guys all hate him, but Xavier is my one and truly person who has helped me, and I have returned the favor. I dont know what I would do if I ever lost him, even though he's banned, he's still my one and only, and he knows i love him

Post 15 by Sword of Sapphire (Whether you agree with my opinion or not, you're still gonna read it!) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 20:50:08

Wow, Kia, I think Cl's should put a limit on the number of exclamation marks that can be used in one post. Somebody got a little exclamation happy there.

Post 16 by Elenhiia (Feather'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr for president!) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 23:17:55

Celeste, Hanif, and Lori definitely. If you get Lori talking, she's got good insights. Hanif is always so positive and open and fun. Celeste just sounds tiny and feathery, she's fun to talk to, she's got interesting things to say, she's taught me a lot...Thanks for reminding me of some, people. lol

Post 17 by Mlynwei (Last word? Gimmie the first!) on Thursday, 26-Mar-2009 0:51:46

Ok. I'm willing to bet no one's ever heard of this guy.
Mohammed, aka World-Of-Wonders
One of the ones who logs on around 4 or 5 in the morning because of the timezone he's in. Not sure if he's actually helped me yet, but he tries. And he tries damn hard. Sometimes it seems like he does everything in his power to make me feel good about myself. Of course his atempts are usually in vane, but I got to give credit where credit's due. Aside from that he's fascinating, cracks me the hell up, and is just a great guy to talk to. So, shout out to him.

Post 18 by Ukulele<3 (Try me... You know you want to.) on Thursday, 26-Mar-2009 10:41:32

Wow. Jesse hit the nail on the head! Shea is someone I really admire because of her positive manner in spite of everything I know about her and what she's had to deal with. I only wish I could be as upbeat and smile as much as she does. :p I am so happy that her and Dan have found so much happiness with each other. Girl you're with one of the very few people with whom I found sexy on here other than Thanh of course! heehee But that's a secret! shshshsh

Another person who I really admire is Jesse. I think his faith in God is so inspiring. He never forces his views on people. If you're a believer then good, if not, he doesn't hate you for it. I am personally trying to get closer to God again and it's very hard for me. Everyone around me thinks I'm weird for believing in all that Bible crap and it gets really frustrating at times. I am quite the wild girl so don't even know if I can ever belong in a church because of my libberal beliefs. I'm all twisted up inside when it comes to God. I've recently added Jesse to facebook and looking at his statuses about being so happy to serve God really inspires me to try harder and not give up on God just yet.

So thank you so much Shea and Jesse for being the people you are. I am very shy and although I don't talk to the two of you as much as I'd like to, you have inspired me to smile despite it all and to keep trying no matter how difficult the path becomes. Again, thank you.

mama peach aka mel. she's always got an insparational thing to say, weather it is a forward, a possitive poem, a story... she is just really insparational

brian aka zentre. with out him, i wouldn't have known about the kingdom of loathing (which is one of the only we based games) i know that's accessible and fun, i just want to thank him for showing me.

gemini aka leanne. just a brilliant person to talk too, and tries to help me when she can

michelle aka i love es33. with out her, i wouldn't know some cool music bands i do now, and i wouldn't have someone that always makes me smile. so thanks michell.

soviet, for the pure reason she's done so much for me, ( she may not see it, but she has). she is awsome to talk with, understands what you are going through and treats everyone as an equal

liam aka curious liam for just funny audio profiles, and the audio section he used to have on his website

keri aka brokenheart, what can i say really. she always seems so willing to help, and she never has a bad word about anything. :). well, not what i have seen anyway

nick aka cocch, for kind of the same reasons as michelle, making me laugh and being a great friend

think that's all of you. sure i missed some of you out, and i'll probably think of it

I wasn't sure I was going to post again, but I have to agree with Time keeper. Mama Peach is awesome. She's really been there for me over the last year and a half, listened when I needed to talk, and given me a lot of insight into several things. That, and her Yahoo group rocks. Grin.

Post 23 by SunshineAndRain (I'm happily married, a mom of two and a fulltime college student.) on Saturday, 28-Mar-2009 12:03:00

I have a lot... Let's see. These aren't in any particular order though.
1. Cortney/Torico: She and I have a ton in common and although we don't talk much, she is probably the closest thing to an awesome friend that I've ever had short of my husband who is my #1.
2. Becky/Princess Leia: she and I actually have very similar families. I know how it is to have completely differing viewpoints and beliefa than your family and it takes an admirably strong person to stand up to them.
3. Alicia/Sister Dawn: Unlike me, she is accepting of everyone, including the annoying ones. She is easy to talk to and get along with and she's an awesome CL!
4. Dan/Benito Musolini: He is so caring and friendly and I think he's a hilarious twat.
5. Last but not least... Louis/l_bryher to our son and the most wonderful husband that a wife could ever have.ant2004: He is my best friend and he's the greatest fat

Post 24 by HauntedReverie (doing the bad mango) on Saturday, 28-Mar-2009 18:11:21

I'm going to have to jump on the Shae band wagon and add Harp Dan in too. They really make me see that you can live a normal happy life, even if you're blind.

Also Kai Kai. He shames me with his words and reading his stuff always makes me want to do better.

And I almost forgot fuck buddy Darren, aka Leaffan. If not for him, I wouldn't have the happiness I now do. Talking to someone really helps.

There are memrable zoners that had an impact on me, like neo aka singer of songs and Shark Cam and Kevinly Blackbird.
Lol, I need to join in qn conversation more.

It's all good dan, it's just that I think that there are too many negative people and boards on here, so why not be a little more constructive with our time and be more posative when coming on here, rather than just bashing people out, just cause you can!

Lol, but, it's all good!

Post 29 by PorkInCider (Wind assisted.) on Sunday, 29-Mar-2009 11:28:57

Thank you Kia for giving us the opportunity to shout about the people

we think are great. It's very difficult to single out just a few in a

way like this when you have so many great friends, and especially

difficult for someone like me who doesn't like showing a lot of

sensativity. My friends are all very important to me, and all have a

special place in my life, and heart if I ever find it. lol. I've

simply tried to just pick a handful of you that I believe deserve a

little extra recognition.
1. Aaron AKA Lieutenant Commander La Forge.
I believe I've spoken to Aaron during both one of the worst times in

his life, and one of the best. The first in hospital with an infected

dialysis port, and the doctors not having many options left for sites

in which they could replace it. The second again in hospital, but

having just had his kidney transplant. I admire you Aaron for the

fact that I don't believe you at least outwardly were much different

in either situation. You remained as positive throughout, showing

that no matter what you had to deal with it wasn't going to beat you.
2. Bill AKA BB, Blind bandit.
I know I with everyone else wrote of Bill's influence on the tribute

board for him, however, it's important for me personally to mention

him here too. I saw Bill deal with so much that life threw at him,

and he dealt with it all with such quiet dignity. I think it's the

fact that some of these same issues could one day be mine if I'm

unlucky with the Syndrome I have, and so Bill's way of dealing, his

ability to talk about it all, and the dignity he showed throughout

that will always remain with me.
3. Maria AKA Devious britches.
Maria, no matter what life throws at you and your husband Tim, you

keep taking in children, children who's situation is worse than

your's, children who need someone to love them, and look after them

the way a parent should do. you do this, take them in, love them,

care for them, and then give them back when the time is right. you

provide them something so very special when needed, and though you

hurt at times losing a child you came to love, you keep doing this

time after time. I can only admire you for what you call work, but I

can only think of as a gift to the endless stream of children that has

travelled through your life.
4. Chelsea AKA Dancing after Dark, and Cortney AKA Torico.
I went through something of a minor breakdown a couple of years ago, a

time in my life when I thought it couldn't get much worse, a time when

strangely I really didn't want much to live or die. So many people

helped me through that, people who all gave me what they could, not

asking much if anything in return. I'm greatful to all of you who

were there for me, and hope no one will be upset that I single Chelsea

and Cortney out in this way. You 2 were there for me day after day,

for hours at a time, often listening to the same ramblings, likely

giving the same kind of advice time after time in the hope that I'd

find my way out and make it back to some level of normality. You both

went beyond that of ordinary friendship, and for that you are both

awesome. Not only are you both awesome, but I admire your writing

abilities, and thank you for the honour you've given me over the years

when you've shared it giving me such pleasure.
I love you all.

Kia, this is truly a wonderful board!
It's nice to see that we're trying to work beyond our differences and come together.
Here're mine in no particular order.
1. Jim aka. ponderer for giving me the strength to be confident in myself and to just be myself.
2. Hanif aka. Mielo Theory for being a good friend. You are always so happy, and you have such great insights about *everything*. :)
3. Jeff aka. Sledge for all the intellectual conversations that we've had and for not judging.
4. Kai aka. Wraith for listening to me ramble on the worst of days and for all the teasing that inevitably results when I call you. :P
5. Herv aka. Crazy for just being you!
6. Angela aka. Canadian Singing Girl for being welcoming of pretty much anyone and for being encouraging when times are rough. Also, thank you for your nonjudgmental attitue and just genuineness.
7. Veronica aka. Celest for all that you've done to help and encourage me through the times when I thought I couldn't, and shouldn't, pursue something.
8. Kev aka. Blackbird for just being you. People talk all sorts of crap about you and stuff, but you are really a great friend, not to mention a good appreciator of music, and an all-around fun guy!
Yes, yes, yes, I *am* working on those songs i'd promised you! :P
Again! Great board!

A few others I admire.
Becca, aka ToMeea. She sings, she cooks, she can stand on her head! Wait, scratch that last part. She’s just a spectacular friend. What more can I say?
Leah, aka ButterflyButch. She writes amazing poetry and she can slam like you’ve never heard. At least like I’ve never heard. She also puts up with my BS on a near daily basis. And, although most of the time she scares the ever-living dogshit out of me, she’s pretty fascinating.
Alright, confession. I cheated. I knew the previous two admirees offline before I knew they were on here. But I’m not done yet.
Alicia, aka Missdanceralicia. I’ve seen her take so much crap on here, and yet she’s always nice to everyone she talks to. I also think she’s brave as hell for just being her, and not caring what the masses say about it. If that’s not admirable right there I’ll eat this post. Lol
Iyana, aka Princess Leia. Her smile is the sun and her eyes are rainbows… lmao, ok I actually know nothing about her, but I admire her anyway.
End of second sappy rant.

have been on zone for nearly 5years now, lots of people along the way have come and gone, some stay, some move on. there're lots of people that effected me in some way, either its in a personal level or professional level that i admire...

1. Scott AKA fuster Cluck, we've been known each other for as long as i'm on zone, and he really mean a special place in my heart, as a one and only special friend.

2. Graham aka Graham, and simon aka... mmm, the listener, nooo, bro, don't change your name please? bloody can't remember and spell!. both of them just my big brother, someone that i admire and love as in a brother sistership way.

3. Bridgett aka ... well, i'm really not good in zone user name am i? she's just a sis to me, although we don't talk that often nowdays, but she's always there when i needed someone for support.

4. Steve aka Stovo aka donkey, just a donkey, someone that could make me laugh.

5. Alicia aka SisterDawn, shae and Dan aka the harp family, Hanif aka milo one, Darron aka Leaffan, Kev aka BlackBird, and lots more. you people are just, some how brighten my day when i need it the most, in a positive way. ;)

ps: Kia, nice lovely topic that can be little bit emotional. lol

Oh God. i screwed up. Maybe I shouldn't put who I meant, but actually Iyana and becky both are awesome and I admire Iyana's posts and Becky's similar life saga that I once had. Like I said, there are more, but it would take ions to write them all here. Everyone fascinates and horrifies me to some degree. Lol.

I've been following this topic and have decided to finally make some comments. However, I'm not going to name specific people. Those of you who think what I write fits you, then fine. But I don't want to inadvertently leave someone out, so I'll just name some traits that make me admire certain people on here.

I admire those of you who are in college or have jobs. As a blind person, I know first hand how difficult it is for us to get the materials we need in accessible format for college, find our way around campus, etc. as well as get and/or keep a good job.

I admire those of you, and there are many, who have had major health problems and manage to keep your sense of humor and not dwell on your problems.

Finally, I admire those who do kind things for others without being asked, such as buy a premium membership or just say a kind word to someone who is being picked on by others.

Awwww! Awww, you guys are so cool, and Kevin, that was the nicest thing I've ver seen you say. You've really actually calmed down a lot and are a lot less evil just to be cool lately. That I admire you for. Lol Leele, I am strange and rainbowy, but I don't know about admirable. And Sunshine, I forgot your name, I am a terrible person, lol. I can say about you that you always have something positive to say and you're always cool and you say cool things that lots of people wouldn't think to say, now excuse me and my senseless rambling, the bell is ringing. lol

I'm going to add another vote for Shae-Shae. growing up with blindness is one thing, but getting used to it in later life is another, and I think she's just amazing for that.

I haven't been around much lately, but I'll try to mention a few people who I love on here for various reasons.

Cris [Happyman] I think he's an amazing person, just because of what he must have to put up with on a day to day basis being an arab in the US, but not allowing it to get to him. Being palestinian, I can only imagine what he and his family have been through in their lives, so he remains one of the people who inspire me. I'm half arab, and was at one point not proud of it, but after talking to him, I learnt that I should be.

CL scotty [fuster cluck] he's another amazing zoner, given what he's had to deal with in life.

Mark [Lawlord] he keeps on top of things, works very hard and knows what's going on in the world and makes the effort to understand the big picture, and I admire anyone who tries to do that.

Erin [resonant] not sure why, she's just my friend, convinced me to get my computer and is just general awesomeness.

I might write here again...

Post 37 by Texas Shawn (The cute, cuddley, little furr ball) on Tuesday, 31-Mar-2009 22:09:27

I wasn't sure who all I would post on this topic, but Griff gave me some good ideas. so I'll list some people not really in any kind of order and I may or may not say my reasons for them.

Lawlord: very well educated, I imagine he does well as a lawyer. I have a few lawyer friends and I just admire the job they do!

Chris aka Happyman: I've known chris for a very long time and I may not allways agree with him he is one heck of a guy. Very honest.

Pipi: she is just Pipi, grin. nuff said.

Rabit: tallented, educated friendly.

Alex: just one of those fun, honest, friendly person that would probably kick my ass if I got on her bad side.

agree with Gryfynn! ;)

Post 39 by Sword of Sapphire (Whether you agree with my opinion or not, you're still gonna read it!) on Wednesday, 01-Apr-2009 19:41:36

Oh, my grapes! I totally forgot about one person because I rarely talk to him.
Alex, aka, okay sure.
I admire this guy to the max! He comes off as quiet sometimes, but if a good controversial issue comes up, he can really back up his opinnion. I've not known him to ever bash, undermine, gossip about, or talk bad about other people. And he's just a fun person altogether and can make a person laugh from some random comment related to complicated and/or debatable subjects. He's so kick ass!
Oh, yes yes yes, and Cody, aka silver lightning
He's one of the few other vocabularians I've found on this site. He's a really nice person to talk to, and a real conversationalist. He can discuss debatable and controversial issues without getting angry and making nasty comments about the other individual. And he's someone I can really relate to; we've so much in common.

That is all ... for now.

Post 40 by Perestroika (Her Swissness) on Friday, 03-Apr-2009 2:43:39

Shawn dear, if you've known Cris for so long, then you'd know how to spell his name correctly, :d

Post 41 by â„¢ (Veteran Zoner) on Sunday, 05-Apr-2009 11:55:11

I won't go into details but keep my list simple.

Pipi
Chelsea
Kevin
Alejandra

there are lots of others but unless you do it alot you don't make the list.

there are also those that do but not directly or in the way they intended.

sometimes I see things and think, i'm glad i'm not like that.

If I make an effott to talk to you then I think you are pritty cool. lol

Well Jared it's supposed to be a positivity board so ... that's probably why you haven't been named. :P But I agree with Cala, that was possibly the best and most moving performance of the whole show. And also I admire your eloquence and wonderful way with words, and your charmingness, and those QN's you send that are just so ... mmm.

Lmao there you go, you've been mentioned.

Post 45 by CrazedMidget (Sweet fantacy's really do come in small packages!) on Monday, 06-Apr-2009 19:09:04

I'm going to add one more.
Bill aka Blind Bandit or BB.
Bill was one of the nicest people I met on zone, and we really had a friendship. He never complained or got mad, and always looked on the better side of things. Zone hasn't been the same without him around, but he will always be in my thoughts, and I thank him for the help he's given me

Post 46 by â„¢ (Veteran Zoner) on Monday, 06-Apr-2009 23:25:53

I agree Billio was cool people. no matter what he had going on he would be up for a laugh.

Post 47 by Elenhiia (Feather'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr'rr for president!) on Tuesday, 07-Apr-2009 16:43:39

You know who the Zone hasn't been the same without? The Zone really really changed when Dave died. It lost a lot of the sense of fun that it had before. I agree, it completely lost that fun, on the site anyway, when Bill died. I think they were two people who positively influenced everyone around them. The zone went completely down the drain now that they're gone.

Post 48 by CrazedMidget (Sweet fantacy's really do come in small packages!) on Tuesday, 07-Apr-2009 18:31:06

Yeah, now I go on, and all I see is people hugging, no real fun convos anymore. Bill was great

Post 49 by maroon five (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 07-Apr-2009 18:39:37

okay, first, good topic Kia. second, it's hard to think of people who have made a positive influence in your life, cause so many people do that, but i have and it has nothing to do with anything else but this topic, (just saying)

1. Cam, aka Shark. for just being you, and your always their if i need to talk or vent.

2. Q. i don't kno if you realize this, but your like family to me, and your always willing to listen to me, even if you have other things going on in your life.

3. Keri aka Brokenheart. yeah she does have her moments where she frustrates me, but she's just a person who has always been their and is willing to listen, and she knows that i'd do the same for her.

4. Cat aka Gilman Gal. same as Keri.

5. Hanif. yeah we have had our problems in the past, and are only now just making a fresh start on our friendship, but that never stopped me from admierring the guy for one minute.

6. crazy aka my Hervie chocolate bar. lol, i couldn't post this and not have him in it, now could i? aside from anything else, he's listened to me rant about various things, and he's always managed to make me smile, and see the situation differently to the way i was seeing it.

so in closing this, i just want to honestly from the bottom of my heart, thank all thoes i've listed for being positives in my life. *hugely hugs all of you*

Post 50 by The Luggage (Zone BBS Addict) on Tuesday, 07-Apr-2009 21:33:33

OK I'm crap at spelling names, well, crap at spelling full stop, but here's my list for what its worth:

1. Bobbie AKA Angel Of Music - she has the most amazing talent I think I've ever come across, and she's one of the loveliest unpretentious people, with a smile to die for too. Never stop playing and smiling B!

2. Alli AKA hmmm. Can't remember her name on here, think its Orange Dolphen Spirit - for having courage and strength to do what you believed to be the right thing for you and Gabby, and for being cutely nerdy and very likable even right back when you were a lil brat'ling!

3. Krystel AKA Puggle - who gave me the best 2 years of my life, I'll never forget ya chickie.

4. Shea - well, look at you now girl! Do I need to say anymore?

5. Maria AKA Devious Britches - Kevin said it all.

6. Sally AKA Honey bear cub- she's been like a sister to me for 13 years, and that friendship will never die.

7. Kevin AKA Blackbird - OK, everyone has problems and worries, but the one thing I can honestly say about you is that despite what you personally have to live with every day, you're always willing to listen to others go on about their problems, me included. But you're still a cunt! Lol! Hahahah! Folks that's an in-joke so don't take offence!

Oh wow! I just spell-checked my post in MS Word and cunt isn't in the wordchecker dictionary! Roflmao!

Post 51 by Q (Take my advice, I'm not using it anyhow.) on Friday, 10-Apr-2009 3:17:40

Unlike my earlier post to this very same topic, I think it's time I contribute something useful.

Right now I can think of 3 people who has made a profound difference to my life, though, I guess that as for one of them, I would find it hard to be totally objective.
Having said that, here I go:

Loui, as in Gryffyn:

Things weren't always going well for you in your life, and, yet, through it all you managed to make a success of some things that is admirable to me.
You are truly an amazingly inspiring person to me, and, I am sure that with the right people in your life, you'll make it really big one day.
Oh, and you are a very talented singer, outstanding, really.

Jesse:
Although I don't think we have ever really spoken, through your life, through the way you go about day to day, I really look up to you, because, it seems to me that no matter how harsh life gets, no matter what it throws your way, you always stay on track, and to me, that is something that I wish I could do more, stay on track no matter how hard it gets.

Last but not least, Kia, as in the Dangerous Hellion:

Despite of what you appear to be in public, I have not met anyone as truly genuine as you in a very long time.

And when things got very tough for me, you helped me through it all, without knowing it, and, you gave me so much more than what I needed.
Thank you for that.

Post 52 by Damia (I'm oppinionated deal with it.) on Friday, 10-Apr-2009 15:52:13

Well I read the whole thing and think it is my turn to contribute. You'll see some familiar names on this list and a few others as well.

1. Dan and Shea for numeris reasons though that may seem like jumping on the band waggon it's sinceer.. I admeyer Shea for her strength when she became blind, and also her determination to not become bitter. I admeyer both of them for their relationship, and the strength they had to make long distance well not so long, and to make something flurish from it. Cheers to you both.
2. Singer of songs. As much as he's been well miah he's been someone consistant and true to himself and someone who is a great friend I take much incouragment from.
3. Pipi and Maria for the reason of their love for children. It's so common to see the horror stories of children being unwanted or niglected, but these two ladies are the ones who make me think that maybe the world hasn't gone to hell in a hand baskette with roses on it. Well not quite yet anyway.
4. Sledge and JDX who never comes on here for just being solid rocks. I could be a mess of emotional dribble drable and they're always so logical and are always there.
5. Kyle, besides the reasons that are quite apparrent he shows me that people can change, and that people can make something new of themselves, and even if the past is there people can learn from mistakes and end up making something beautiful of themselves.

for the time being I think that's all I want to put here

Post 53 by season (the invisible soul) on Saturday, 11-Apr-2009 8:56:30

it is really impossible to just selected a few to be in the top 5 list. but absolute agree with Candy about Shae, Dan, and Miah who i originally thought is a lady because of his user name. ;)

Post 54 by ILoveS33 (my ISP would be out of business if it wasn't for this haven I live at) on Saturday, 11-Apr-2009 9:07:54

1. the time keeper: First for actually thinking of me, thank you!! & second, for introducing me to some great music as well!
2. flcomputergeek: I don't always talk to her, but from the bit we have talked, she's a really nice person.
3. SisterDawn: I've confided in her A L O T. . . So, thank you for letting me confide in you.
4. RisingUp&Falling: Because I know her personally off the boards, & she's a great person!
5. Nick: For encouraging me to go to college & find the money to get that guitar or drum set! (Now if only I could make up my mind of which to invest in first! Lol.)
6. MiloTheory: I have only QN'ed him once, but I read his profile & that in & of itself was inspiring to me. He is a great person who I should take the time to get to know.
7. BellaCullen: Nice person whom I share alot in common with. Also someone whom I confided in & who actually listened instead of accusing me of being "negative".
8. Alex: I miss you girl!! Your being a member of the L&O SVU fanclub is in itself enough to get you on this list! Lol. It's definitely not the only reason though!! (smile)

& finally, to anyone else whom I don't really know but takes the time to fill out their profiles & actually look at other people's profiles before QN'ing & saying: "So, what do you like?"
Also to anyone who's seeking out a job, going to college or dealing with health problems as someone else said. I know how hard it is to keep your head up.

Post 55 by midnight sun (you can't catch me, i'm the palobread man) on Saturday, 18-Sep-2010 13:57:00

i know this is a very, very old one. and who ever thought the essence of shiness would even

think of posting to a topic like this. but some positivity is never a bad thing. so here is

my list, with or without reasons, and in no particular order:
1. hanif milo theory. you're such a strong person, you've seen and gone through a lot, and

you made the best of it and yourself, and inspired me to do the same. you've also been there

for me no matter what, day or night, when i was going through hard times, or simply need

someone to talk to, or just was having sleeping issues. just know that i'm very much ready to do the same for you should you ever need it.
we've had our own issues a couple times, but they've been put in the past and forgotten like they never happened. i hope life

keeps going great for you. you deserve it.
2. striker james. hell, it's complicated. we've had our good and bad times. and still, no

matter what, we could always count on each other. I see you like a younger cousin or some

family member of some kind. and no one messes with my little cousin and gets away with it.

smile.
you've used even some drastic measures to show me i could be stronger than my scary

nightmarish shiness, and i know you did it totally out of your interest but for my own good.

together we've been through so much stuff, most wouldn't even believe if i mentioned some of

it. :P you also saved my life more than once and i will never forget that. thank you,

striky.
3. black bird kev. i've heard haters say all kinds of things about you but what i've seen is

a sincere, CARING - yes, i called you caring, and also nice - friend. you're so

understanding about my shiness, but also showed me i can get through it. you've been a real

friend in all situations. just recently i made some wrong painful choices, no details here,

and you warned me, knowing i had to take my chance anyway and now that time proved you right

and me wrong, now that i am painfully paying for it not knowing what will be made of me, you're here supporting me the best you can. i love you right hand.
4. eponine aka my rushyyy she hasn't logged in in so long but she was my most special and i love her, I miss you my friend.
5. kathia? or something like that, aka tina. she had to learn to deal with her blindness late in life and she's doing it just great. also we think alike on a lot of topics and have so much in common. love talking to ya girl.
6. iyana. there's so much i could say here. but i will only say that you are an incredibly strong, but also amazingly comforting soul. you love the world its creatures its animals and flowers and nature, you're creative like not many i can think of, you are like me in many ways, but i see you as a much better version of me. also of course we must not forget that you're my most feathery non human love. smile
7. my buddy faraaz. your picture could be found on a dictionary next to the word friend. you got my back, i got yours. we ride together, we die together. friends for life. and of course little lion's favorite human.
8. this goes to those i am forgetting in this post, because i am sure there's at least one.
9. david kaibod. we've started talking recently, but you're just an awesome, reliable friend. you're supporting me so much in this really bad time i am going through, and i sense honesty and sincerity in the things you say. you're just... you. that's all i can say. love you my friend.
10. mussolini dan, c section cam, all the group of the 7 or so hours long skype calls back in 2008. those were good times, because on some occasions i could overcome my shiness, and also, being all there together, laughing, talking, or just being silent, falling asleep or minding our own business, it felt like we were all sitting in the same room each doing our own stuff. i liked those days a lot. i could even forgive cam for not letting me predict his dreams anymore after the first time. thank you guys
11. singer of songs. we never at all talked. but i was there quite a few times when all was being said about him, being a bad cl, jokes about him abusing his cl powers etc. and he was there, but he didn't say a word. he didn't jump in in the drama when he had all the right to, he just knew he was doing his job the best he could and that's what mattered. that really got me thinking and impressed me.
12. the professional. you're in this list because i remember well the incredible drama you were involved and too often brought on yourself, but you were able to act like a mature person, get yourself out of it, and now some of the same people who used to bash you and participate in that drama now respect you, or even like you. good job robbie.
this is quite one long list but i am not done yet.
i won't make names this time. but there's one person from the zone that really had an impact in my life, and an amazing one, too. then he gone and messed up bad. and i wish he didn't. but while he was part of my life, he changed me so much in so many ways, i can't find the words. i've learned so much from him, i learned that my dreams don't necessarily have to be dreams forever, that when people say you can't, it doesn't necessarily mean they know better and are right. he showed me that what i thought were walls all around me were instead doors, all leading to a new chance, a different opportunity. god knows how i wish things would have gone differently between us. but no one can predict what awaits us in the future. and if some day, somehow, i will recover from the undescribable pain, i will make the things you showed me a constant part of my life.
to all the people mentioned here, from the first to the unnamed last, i love you.
to those i have unintentionally forgotten, go back to point 8, and i love you too.
:)
i feel so weird and want to run and hide and flee abroad with a new identity when i do really emotional stuff like this. for now i can't do any of those so i could just end the post by saying something extremely rude and nasty to make up for all the emotional sappiness.
oh, but never mind that, i do love you, guys.

sorry for bringing back up an old old topic.

Post 56 by CrazyMusician (If I don't post to your topic, it's cuz I don't give a rip about it!) on Saturday, 18-Sep-2010 16:02:51

no problem, Lori! Glad you brought it up!

In no particular order:
Kai (Wraith) for being funny and flirty and a sweetheart WAY back in the day when my life was going down the toilet

John (AKA Tilemicus), for always being hilarious and arriving late at our meeting all those years ago because his dad ate all the Almond Joy chocolate bars that Tilemicus meant to bring me, so he had to get more

Kev (AKA Blackbird) for always trying to say hi

Shea (for being a sweetheart and letting me know I'm not a total freak for being a blind beader

I can't think of anymore, but great thread!

Post 57 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Saturday, 18-Sep-2010 17:55:39

Some of these may never be seen by the person of interest, some of them are incredibly biased, and some of them are about only one or two partucular events, but, here it goes.

Princess Kaitlyn: You're one of the best friends I've ever had, and believe me, I don't have many. There were times, years ago, I thought we might never talk again, but we've proven time and time again that true friends are friends for life, no matter what happens. I admire you for being able to call bull shit on something I've done without worrying what I thought of it, but at the same time, being able to give me credit for the things I've done right. I hope I've always done the same for you. I know our paths have diverged a bit in the literal sense, with me being so much farther away now, but I've never thought any less of you for it, or for anything else.

Night Hawk: I don't think there has been a time we've talked on Skype that you haven't made me laugh at some point. I admire you for never being overly sensitive, but somehow still being able to be there for me if I ever needed to talk. By the way, you should be the next voice for Homer Simpson.

Fire Walker: I know we haven't been as close as some other friends, but I'll never forget the few times we had some really deep and heartfelt conversations on Skype.

Kathia: I admire you for being able to take a loss, and make it into a gain, but I also admire the fact that you're not afraid to talk about the difficulties you have with it. By the way, I hope there will be many more Skype conversations ahead. The last one was awesome, even if it was 3:00 AM.

Leaffan: You've shown me that a rant can always end on a positive note, but more than that, you've shown me that I deserved better than what I was accepting.

Geek woman: I admire you for not being afraid to talk about your problems, but that you always seem to find a way to help others who have the same problems. I hope to hear from you soon.

Changing with time: Even though it doesn't always seem like it, your Email list had really helped me in so many ways, especially back when I was going through some really rough times. I admire the fact that no matter what is going on, you never let your frustration get the better of you.

LaneKeys: Okay, I know this one is definitely biased, but I admire you simply for being you. You're awesome, and you know it, but you don't let on that you know it. That's just one of the many things I love about you. You've seen me at my best, and definitely at my worst, but you've never held any of it against me. You've shown me that love and support doesn't always mean standing up for me, but helping me gain the strength to stand up for myself. Even on the roughest of days, there's always love.

I also wanted to add that I'm greatful for everyone who takes the time to look at profiles before saying "hi", and I also admire the people who aren't trying to hook up with every single person you meet.

Wow, I love this topic. Thanks so much for getting it started! I am kind of the shy behind the curtain people because I am just quiet. But I would like to mention some great friends. I am using their names cuz I know how people change their usernames and I lose track lol. Nicole and Iris have always been there to listen at all my difficulties and sadnesses. Siera too. Herb was always a fun guy to talk to and Leaffan has been my friend for a long time as well. There are many others that I can not think of off the top of my head, but thanks to you zone family, when I first joined, I was always sad, depressed, just a terrible person to be around, but now my life is changing! I have a life now, have a job, and God is really working in my life and I believe that He has sent me a lot of my Zone friends to help. Thanks to all of you and I love and appreciate all of you. TC

amelia (aka vortex awesom) this is totally byist, but i love amelia for being ma fav sis, and for loving me despite how much of an ass i've sometimes made myself out to be.

colby (aka texasangel) this is also byist, but omg, colby has helped me through a lot of stuff, and has reminded me to stay strong.

black brandon (aka B.W.K) for just being there for me, and being serious when it's appropriate and funny the rest of the time.

kayla (aka KaylaCookie) for showing me myself from another prospective and understanding me as i am.

iyana (aka feathery) ma soul twin. iyana's always been there for me, and understands my every thought.

donnie (aka latinokingdonboy) for showing me who you really are under your exterior layer, and for being so caring.

jessica (aka missexy booty licious) for being so strong and helping me through some of the times i couldn't sleep at night.

zhenya (aka KGB Chick94) i loooooooooooooove zhenya's sense of humor, and her ability to be herself. this also goes for mary abby (aka XOX123XOX) and maddy (Starcatcher)

daniel (aka odicy) for being so caring and making me smile.

Post 60 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Friday, 17-Dec-2010 11:00:40

O yes. I have two more. Sorry guys, and this doesn't mean you're any less important.

The time Keeper: I admire you for getting out there and trying to make the best out of your less than happy moments, and for being able to write about them in your journal. I know from experience that it can be hard to dedicate yourself to that journal, so, good work.

Fighter of love and life: We've had one disagreement over the course of our friendship, but looking back on it now, it's hard to believe it even happened. You and I both know it would take more than that to break us. speaking of that, thanks for helping me on my path to putting up with nothing I don't deserve to put up with.

Okay, at first I wasn't going to post here, but I have a few of my own. Even though I've only been here for about a year and some months I have been able to meet some great people, and I believe I met them for a reason, because I have somethings and someone to wake up too and talk too everyday that really care for me and I care for them. I'm only going to list about four or five because it's all I could think of at the moment, and we're really close, so don't feel hurt if your not here...:)

1. Celeste aka Veronica, she was mentioned once, but I'm going to mention her again because she's awesome. She is one of those people I could just talk too and talk too, and talk too with out ever getting tired of the qns and of course phone calls.
2. Amelia aka Vortex awesome, girl you know I shouldn't be posting your name here, but we found out after all we do have stuff in common, and everybody in this world have the bitch in them.
3. Jon aka um...can't spell his user name, but when I'm in the party mood, and need some one to talk too and make me feel like I'm having a party, I can turn to him.
4. Joseph aka The Game when I first joined this site, he and I didn't get alone and honestly, I thought he couldn't stand me, but he's cool after all.
5. David aka Kaibod, from the beginning, now, and the end I'm your bestfriend. People laughed at you, talked about you, and don't listen to you...make you feel miserable, and I'm the one who sits down and listen to what he has to say and he listens to me. I even get text messages before school wishing me a good day...it's gets annoying, but it really means a lot to me.

Now, I may come back later on and post more, but for now this is all because I have no one else to write here?

Anyways, byyyyye.

Post 63 by ThaCake (Not the best, just better than you.) on Thursday, 10-Feb-2011 0:31:11

omg so, i just posted all this soppy bs only for the site to log me out in the process, so here it goes again.

1. Faraaz The Charismatic_enigma: Wow, where do I start? Ever since we started talking, we've been extremely close. You helped me through a ton of mess and I tried to help you through a ton of mess. You were there every time i needed you. Every time i cried over a guy, who would have known we'd end up together? You truly are my inspiration. You give me motivation, hope, unconditional love, and a happiness people have described as almost tangible. I can't begin to explain what you do to me, but you know. I admire your faith. I think its beautiful that you have the ability to believe in something so wholeheartedly. I used to think religious people were the weak minded ones, but, no, not you. The stuff we've seen each other through and the stuff we've seen people through, has made you not only, someone i love, but my best friend. I admire your strength and your courage. I wish I had strength and courage like that, but oh well, i don't need it, u give it to me. If this doesn't work out, which i'm positive it will, i'd still love you more than any friend i've ever had, i'd still b there for you. But, don't think i could ever stop wanting, and loving you. So no problem there.

2. Joseph aka the game? your reliable and aren't all talk which is something I admire a ton. When you say you'll do something, you do it. Your a great listener and verry supportive. You saw me through my time at the university, which u know wasn't easy for me. Your a wonderful friend.

3. RissBits aka marissa: I love you girl, we haven't really spoken since I came back from kentucky, but i'd b there for you any time if you needed me. I know we clash a bit cuz we are so much alike, but you still one of the only females I can tollerate and I'd kill for you if necessary.

4 Scott aka fustercluck: What a great friend. You became so great to me so fast. Always there for me when i was a blubbering mess of tears and confusion. Always understanding the situation but also offering an objective opinion which is what my overly emotional self nees.

I have tons of people that are special to me, but these people inspire me. Weather it be to be a better person, love more, care more, or just by being so amazing.

Post 64 by the charismatic_enigma (Zone BBS Addict) on Thursday, 10-Feb-2011 3:48:09

ok here we go, i'm gonna post my top 5 people, just because your not here doesn't mean i don't care or you haven't influenced me.

1. Tha cake AKA my kayla cake. what can i say? what hasn't this girl done for me, she has helped bring a smile back to my face, talked to me, loved me, and kepped me calm when i get emotional about things. she knows how to talk to me, and understands me, better than most people who have known me for years. i love you kayla, and don't you ever forget it. you have braught happyness back in to my heart and life, i am beginning to hope again. i hope this works out for ever, but even if it doesn't, i'll allways be here, loveing you, and being there for you, so thank you for being there for me. one more thing i love about her, she is willing to learn, and open her mind to knew things. she doesn't fall for the status quo in life. keep shine hunny, because the world needs your star shineing on it.

2 my amazing sister melodic fate. this girl has helped me through a tun of things, with support, a smile and laughter. we can talk about pretty much anything, and i know she is allways willing to help me with stuff. i'll allways have her back, she is my sister after all, and i couldn't wish for a more amazing sister.

3 grecia. there isn't much to say about grecia except she is the most genuine person i've ever met. i can think of one word to describe grecia, friend. she is loyal and trust worthy, and a wonderful listener.

4 the italian stallian, my boy, my brother my partner in cake crime. i've only known him for a few months, but i'd do anything for this dude. he's stuck by me through a lot of stuff, and allways manages to bring out my crazy side some how. i got you sir and don't you ever forget it. much love. i have nothing but respect for claire, she helped me through a tough time, and didn't let me give up. she wouldn't here of it. thank you claire

finally number 5, claire AKA sugar baby.

i'm glad someone have decided to bring this topic alife. after beeing appear and disappear for a while now, this topic brings me closer to people that seems so familiar to me but yet, seems a bit strange. the reason is because, beeing someone who doesn't normally know how to distablish a good on going conversation, and beeing somewhat privite, i tent to keep to myself most of the time.

i just want to say, thanks for bringing this topic back, and thanks Kia for reminding us that, indeed, we do meet some great people thru Zone.

for those who i come to know, hope we will talk more often, and our friendship can grow stronger.

3. James, aka striker.
you've been through so much James, and I will never stop admiring you for you continued zeal and will to live, to make a place in this world. also, the fact that you're always there to talk, no matter what the circumstances.
4. Iyana, aka feathery.
Iyaha, I love you, that is all. naa, you're great, and who knew I'd find someone who understands my twisted self. :D
5. Jovan, aka black prince.
I love your songs Jovan, and you give me the inspiration to keep with my music semicareer.
6. Amelia, aka vortex awesom.
Amelia, you're really like a sister, with the debates and all. I haven't talked to you in a while, but, you're the best sister anyone could ever have.

Post 70 by Maiden of the Moonlight (Zone BBS is my Life) on Thursday, 10-Feb-2011 17:35:13

Awww, this is such a good idea, Kia. :)

1. Morgayne. This is an obvious one, I think. You're my best friend and have been since I was eight. We've had a rough patch here and there, but going through adolescence, it's hard not to have a rough patch. You're always there for me, and you always want to hear about my life, even the most trivial things. I only hope I do the same for you as well as you've done for me.
2. Joseph. At first, you were so shy and quiet, and at times, I don't totally agree with your dark sense of humor, but you're always willing to have a serious conversation and listen to any pointless ranting. You're a true and loyal friend, through everything. And even when I haven't logged in for ages and ages, you still check in on me to see how everything is going.
3. Cody. I know we had our ups and downs, and unnecessary drama, but you are always there to give advice and help me make sense of things. Being in college can be difficult, and it's good to have someone to relate to on that front, and on many other fronts for that matter.
4. Lory. I really don't know you that well, but for everything you've been through, and for the few conversations we've had, you really are an amazing and strong person. You are admirable for your strength and your willingness to go on, even when things are going so terribly.
5. Bill. I miss you and your consistent friendliness. You were always kind and willing to bring a new friend into your circle. You made anyone feel welcome.
6. Zhenya. You are really so mature for your age. I know I wasn't like that in my freshman year. I admire you for that, but also I admire you for having an open mind to many things. You are probably one of the least judgemental people I know, and you are always willing to listen to me talk about anything. And your audioprofiles are so creative, lol.
7. Iyana. You are also incredibly strong considering all that you've been through. We've had some crazy good times on skype, ages ago, and I really should log in more to continue those epic moments. We share a lot of music taste, and reading your poems and writings is really touching.
8. Mary Abby. You are always so fun and not judgemental at all. You are talkative to pretty much everyone, and you make me laugh effortlessly. You are also considerably mature for your age. You have an open mind which I admire a lot these days.
9. James Monza. You are definitely the least dramatic person I know. You are so laid back and relaxed and I know I can talk to you no matter what. I love your sense of humor and your new York accent, haha. You are definitely one of the easiest people to talk to.

I know I left loads of people out. I'm sorry to whoever I left out... Hopefully I will remember and post them later. Friends are so precious to me and their strength makes me stronger every day. Thanks for everything guys.

Devon aka disellusioned reality and alex aka Ben Dover. You guys light my life with your sence of humor, and skype conferences. You've taught me so much about life, and opened up to me even though I'm usually at my worst.
Ashley aka your face Kassy aka queen latina, and Jodeci aka the black god. you guys are crazy lil spazes, my sexies and always been the people I can lean on even though I can be quite an ass these days.

J-square, who doesn't get enough credit for what he's done.

Raith, for helpping me out with html oh so many years ago.

Dan aka Harp who advised me to stay off qns when I was a newbie. Can I get on them yet?

And, finally, Becky aka LibraLady, she was the very first person I talked with on the zone, and we've been friends ever since. But, don't tell her I said so.

Post 77 by Winterfresh (This is who I am, an what I am about. If you don't like it, too damn bad!!!) on Thursday, 09-Aug-2012 19:52:16

This is a wonderful topic. I saw it a while ago and really wanted to post my list, and now, here I go!!!
1. Brooke, Dissonance.
We've been best friends since we were kids, and I can't even think of the words to describe how you've influenced me. We've been through everything together and you're one of my biggest inspirations in life. No matter whether we're talking inside jokes or having serious discussions, I love talking to you and listening to what you have to say. I hope we can create many more years of love, laughter, and amazing memories. I love you so much, Brookeykins.
2. Jen, AKA Paparazi
Again, known you for over ten years, and you've impacted my life so much more than I can say. You're a beautiful and wonderful person and thank you for always making me laugh, even when I didn't want to. I love you, my Youdork.
3. Faraaz, AKA The Charismatic_enigma
Words cannot describe how awesome of a person you are!! Seriously, reconnecting with you has been one of the greatest things that's happened since I returned to this sight. I love talking with you, be it about wrestling or politics, or any other subject. Thank you for always pushing me and inspiring me to be better, making me laugh, and being such an amazing friend. You got my back and I always have you'res.
4. My angel Aaron
Words don’t even describe how much I miss you. You have had so much happen in your life, and you never ever let it get you down. You kept on living to the fullest and you fought every single adversity with positivity and love. You touched everyone you met, and you have certainly touched me in a place I never knew existed (Kisses to the sky.) Your Mimi loves you forever and may you rest up there with all the piece in the world, my Angel!!!
5. Hanif, AKA Milo theory
You are one of the most genuinely wonderful human beings I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. Thank you for always making me giggle with your silliness, and making me think whenever I’d did something I knew better not to do. You always stuck by me, you saw me through a really rough patch in my life and never thought any less of me. I know we haven’t spoken in years, but I miss you and I hope we can speak soon.
6. Julia, AKA CousinCap
What can I say about this awesome girl? You also stuck with me through a very hard time in my life and never abandoned me. Thank you for always enlightening me every time we talk. Your love of music, food, and broadway and jazz inspire me always. I love laughing at your snarky remarks and your Jersey accent. I love you, even though you’re haurrible. Lol.
7. Kev, AKA Pork and Cider
Ah Georgie!!! Words can’t describe our insane friendship, filled with laughter, tears, and lots of memories. Thank you for, like the last 2 people mentioned, being a rock when I hit rock bottom. Thank you for listening to me cry all those nights and trying to make me feel better. I very much enjoy talking shit and laughing with you, as well as discussing serious matters. You’re a wonderful friend and I’ll love and cherish our friendship always.
8. Iris, AKA gracesong
Another zoner I know personally, I just love you so much!!! You are one of the smartest, funniest, and genuinely sweetest individuals I know. I’ll never forget our misadventures at college and our crazy nights of laughter and writing songs about guys. It’s wonderful to see what directions your life has gone in, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you and our friendship. I really need to work on seeing you more often, and I promise I’ll try to be better about that. I’ve got a few more people, but I’m tired of writing, so I’ll post this and leave it for now. If you weren’t mentioned, don’t think impacted my life in some way or another, because every person I’ve come in contact with has.

1. Chelsea, AKA HappyHeart
Girl, seriously, I don't even know where to start. I just think you're an amazing person, so smart and inteligent, great to be around, fun to laugh with, amazing to be intelllectual with, and overall, just a great friend. Thank you for all the memories and I hope we continue to create new ones!!!I love you!!!
2. Anibal, AKA AnibalLecttor
We've only known each other a very short time, but you've impacted my life so much more than you know. Your spirit always amazes me. okay neat another board i found by a good mistake. anyways first dagne minerva holmes aka rachel damn get a shorter username i had to look up the spelling. hahahaha anyways she has to be one of the mature young people around. always encourages me to continue with my goals even when times get tough. darth vador aka joseph always was there to talk and just an all around awesome person. telemachus or john l whatever anyways coolest person i have had the pleasure of knowing for nearly ten years. many more but all i can think for now.

Post 81 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Tuesday, 28-Aug-2012 20:44:25

personally, I don't feel influence is the right word. there are certainly people who's friendship I appreciate, though.
Brooke (Dissonance) although we no longer talk, I'll always cherish the memories we've made. time spent with you is by far some of the funnest adventures of my life, and I sometimes wish we were still friends, because you allowed me to confide in you without hesitation, and accepted my life as it was.
Sam (latino heat) it's hard to believe we've never actually met, and I remember how bummed I was when I found out we wouldn't be able to several years ago, due to someone making things much more complicated than they should've been. however, it has been nice to get back in touch.
Dave (LeoGuardian) we haven't been really chatting for too long, but I've always thought highly of you, feeling you were someone I could relate to. I enjoy hearing new perspectives (whether they be through your daughter's eyes, or yours). I sincerely hope to meet someday, cause I'm certain we'd have a blast.
Jess (OceanDream) I'm glad to have known you, and I'll always think back to our in person visits with nothing but smiles and appreciation.
James (Stormwing) what can I say? the story of how we met is interesting in itself, and although we don't talk often, I can only hope I'm as great a friend to you as you are to me. I'm hopeful we'll visit sometime in the not too distant future, as you remind me constantly that laughter truly is the best medicine for everything. I sincerely hope you're part of my life for the rest of it, if you'd like to be, that is.
Cody (SilverLightning) I never thought I'd find someone who's just as vocal in calling things as they see them as I am, but it's comforting that I have. I enjoy talking with you about any subject, and love and appreciate your sarcasm more than words can express. it's quite refreshing to know someone shares my views that that's often an affective method of getting points across.

I agree with those who said that everyone influences you in some way. Personally I have made a lot of friends on this site, and everyone has influenced me in some way as well, but some were way more moving such as the following.
Happy heart, Chelsea. I haven't had a friend that is more willing to speak the truth. I am not as comfortable doing that myself, but I can accept the truth with no problem. I wish people would see that from that angle and not take it as disrespect.
Alicia, SisterDawn. We all go through struggles. That is what separates the men from the boys, and the women from the girls. Those who keep their heads up and keep trying despite the numerous times they were not successful is what counts, and I see that in you. Keep doing what you have been, and it will pay off.
Kevin, pork in cider. I will admitk, for a while I did not like you at all.On one particular day, I realized though how perseptive you are, and how strongly you support your opinions. Plus, you are always ready to back up what it is you are saying.
James, Stormwing. One of the very few members I know in person. I am not mentioning you for that fact alone. You are an intellegent individual, and like Kevin you have opinions and reasons to back them up. Most people say something to be heard and to get others on their side, and when you challenge it they aren't ready for it. That has taught me to be ready for it when it happens to me.
That is all I can think of right now.

Post 87 by Runner229 (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 29-Aug-2012 22:35:06

Figures. As soon as I finished with my last post I remembered the other ones. Oh well, here goes.
Leo, LeoGuardian. First of all, I would like to show my appreciation for your service to this country. Several members in my family have either been involved in the Air Force or Army, and you are the first person who I have spoken to who is in the National Guard. You have a lot of wisdom and knowlidge, hopefully I spelled that right. Anyway, one time you had mentioned something about how young people don't know much about history, unless it directly affects them in some way. I could attest to that myself. I never really was all that interested in history until I realized something. That history affects us in so many ways, and the mistakes that people make in the past could be avoided if we paid more attention to it.
Sarah, fire bear. Overall you are just a pleasant person to talk to. You are naturally optomistic, and you always lift my hopes especially about how I will do in college.
And last, but never least, Doug V. You, along with a very select few of other members, know about the troubles I've been through and what I am still dealing with today. Luckily it is not as bad as it was, and I am sure it won't get that bad ever again. Anyway, I appreciate more than words can say, the support you continuously give me. I haven't had a strong group of supporters through my life. I am not as close to my family as people think I may be, because I can't solely rely on them for various reasons. That is why I try to surround myself with those who I could trust as that role, and you are one of them. i hope that sums it up well.

Post 88 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Thursday, 30-Aug-2012 11:56:53

I will probably leave people out but I'm gonna try:
I have been on here a lot in the last three years, it's been a tough five to seven as it stands for me, but these past three have been made lighter and more humorous by you all.
We'll start with the quadrants of users:
Bea, and probably someone else in your age range, thanks for speaking up for our parents' generation. I are one of the Sandwich generation, parents who are seniors and kids getting ready for college. So your being honest on here about the struggles you face has helped me in being patient, be it in explaining cell phones to the parents or anything else related to not just their life but their well-being.
If you are, or have been, under 18 in the past 3 years, thank you for your posts. The cry of every teenage generation is that the parents / the "old people" don't understaned. (Hey now kiddie-poohs, 40s ain't old despite what you think!)
The unique thing with this generation is you all write it out there for the taking. I see this on here, or on Facebook / in texts from the nieces also. But I appreciate it and would like to think it's helped calibrate my compass on more than one occasion.
Fellow travelers in middle stages of life, it's good to have community and I thank you for that.
Hmm now for some specifics:
LibraLady you ar responsible for more than one incident of laughing a bit of beer foam out my nose on account of your jokes.
Silver Lightning aka Cody, your posts are often challenging and compelling.
Bad Ass Billy, great to have someone to talk about workouts / PT with as well as many other things.
Happy Heart / Chelsea I've recently got to know you some through the private quicknotes system and it's been fun.
DevilishAnthony you are kind of an unsung hero on the quicknotes lending a hand to people who get stuck with a computer problem or other things, often not even thanked for it but you've not seemed to become jaded or bitter with time, which is not easy to do.
Hmm, Lou aka Motifated I appreciated your posts and your private messages.
Dirty Little Oar thanks for your info on rowing and blind rowers. Even though I have not yet done anything about getting them accessible publications from the Coast Guard, that is not because I forgot. It's all about me getting the qualifications in a couple areas.
Alicia aka SisterDawn, I've always appreciated your perspective on things on here.
Scott aka Kc8PNL aka Sir Farts A lot, you always make me laugh. Nuff said brother.
GodzillaOnToast I like your posts and thoughts, and find your perspective refreshing.
Miss M, as I have called you in QuickNotes, you are the Zone's JOAN JETT! and even your amusing attempts at scorn at us guys are fun to watch.
Sir Raajan, King of India! Hmm what else can I say beyond that?
Domestic Goddess and Turricane, both of you have some great ideas, and I have more than once used what you have posted here on the boards.
There's plenty others, and you young spazzes who probably never read the boards but hyper out in the Quicknotes, you lighten up the day plus someone else, and not me, picks up after you.
One final one: Phoenix of Honor, aka KB5UJM aka Robert were it not for you, I would never have enrolled in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, because I would never have even known about it or thought a blind guy could.
And, you've been a great Elmer / mentor as I got my amateur radio license. I promise I shall really start to use that once I get moved back into the city, as then I can start participating in the local Emergency Services and parades, as they tell us in the Coast Guard, "Keeping the skills sharp."

Post 89 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Friday, 31-Aug-2012 11:16:52

I forgot, and don't know how I forgot, Faraaz aka The_Charismatic_enigma - again you challenge formerly-held assumptions, and are all round good times.
Speaking of good times, Joseph aka The Game you first unwittingly introduced me to those speech emoticon types of things many of you all do on here. The first day I had Quicknotes on was a weekend when I was working, and at that time I had speech turned on with Eloquence. You successfully made it sound like a sportscaster at a stadiom with its version of 'Are you ready!'
That was a good laugh when pulling a weekend at work.

Post 90 by Siriusly Severus (The ESTJ 1w9 3w4 6w7 The Taskmaste) on Friday, 22-Feb-2013 19:53:35

ah, thank you assad, that is much appreciated. *grin* I try my best but can't say I am deserving of such praises.

anyway, for more since one of these people managed to post about me first
assa/vampire assad zaiden mihitawi: took the time to be friends, inspired each other to do more, you always seem to have more goals then I do and much more practical skills then I do. I'd die in finance and all these math classes let me tell you! doing a lot, always getting educated doing everything you can and having more then one physical disability, wow!

jess/jessie the outlaw or bigfoot: yeah, you might hate me, or something, I am confused but anyway before you took my comment the wrong way you were one of those people on the opposite side who could listen to your opposition and not burn up with hate just because I was on the other side.

music richie or richie: and everyone probably goes huh? why him? He's one of those who makes me think up new psych methods to use, another that influences my knowledge on abnormal psych and actually presents me with an actual person to study and investigate.

paul or p-martin now he's on here my fucking god! he challenges me every way possible about computers and a bit of politics, sometimes when we talk keeps me up to date if I didn't see something.

alex alex matthew sarcastic: what else but cool! I like you for your argumentative nature and your passion in what's right and wrong. good guy and his heart is definitely in the write place.

matt or kb7qlt: same as paul, no politics here but helpful with computers and you learn so much when you're around him.

Post 91 by Winterfresh (This is who I am, an what I am about. If you don't like it, too damn bad!!!) on Saturday, 02-Mar-2013 15:31:12

I gotta add some others to this list. Wraith, or Kai. You are seriously one of the greatest people in the world. You're always there for me when I need to vent and you understand me so well. You're also my favorite pun partner, and one of the best friends in the world. I Love you Sweetie.
Showe, or Myshowe, we haven't known each other for that long, but I cherish your friendship and i know it can only grow, and I can't wait to see you in a few when you get here to Colorado. I love you and am insanely proud of you.
Carlos, or Corpse-grinder, oh foo, you rock!!! You're so much fun to be around and you're such a good friend. You're also incredibly talented and I hope you always stick with your music.
Kiana, my lil sista, carolinaRose, I just love you to bits. I really do. You make me laugh always and it's just nice to have someone to have girl talk with and just be crazy with. I love you Little sissy and am so proud of you.
The British boys, AKA Dan, Benito Musilini, Cam CSection, and Joe, AKA mas. I love all 3 of you tons. You always know when I need a good laugh and you know how to have so much fun. Dan, we need more lemon pledge. Love you. Cam, you are so damn talented it's not even funny and I hope you stick with your music because you rock at it. Joe, all right Lav? You're so silly and ridiculous and I love hanging out with you!!! You all are wonderful nd I love you lots.

Post 92 by Dolce Eleganza (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Saturday, 20-Apr-2013 4:03:34

Interesting question... There are people I really and truly admire. Cody, because even if we don't agree he' stands up for what he believes and knows what he's talking about. Bernadeta because I think she is very wise. Ryan because he's smart and knows how to handle good conversations. Weign because he's very wise and sweet too. Anibal because he's such a funny person to be around. Rachael/akaRdFreek because she's sweet lady. And the rest I don't know as I'm a new user, however I think the mohe I'm here I'll admire more people

Post 93 by jessmonsilva (Taking over the boards, one topic at a time.) on Saturday, 20-Apr-2013 13:25:41

Here are the people I admire or have had positive influences in my life in no particular order:
1. This first one is a couple but I can't put one without the other. Shae and Dan you guys are so amazing, the way you guys both just live together and love each other and have been together for so long and your distance was so far. Now the both of you are together and I am so happy that you guys are still going strong. Thank the both of you for being you and showing so much positivity toward people.
2. Again, another couple. Alley and steven. You guys are both like shae and dan. Always trying to work through things and the both of you aren't actually able to truly be together yet but you guys along with shae and dan have shown me that love can truly last if you find the right person.
3. Chris N: Oh man, Chris. You are one of the most successful blind people I know and I am so happy to have finally met you and gotten to know you. I'm glad for the time we spent together, and I'm glad that you always had faith in me and the things I wanted to do. Thank you for being there for me.
4. I can't remember his name on the zone, but Rad, for similar reasons to chris N. He's awesome to talk to, he has a job, he works his ass off, and he too has a wonderful relationship that he is truly proud of. I loved meeting you this year and hope we get to met up again sometime soon.
5. Kia, you are one of the most awesome and positive people I know, and you have such an amazing singing voice. I love how you enjoy your music and enjoy hearing you sing. Thank you for blessing us with your talent.
6. Kevin Reeves. Oh god, this man is possibly the best musician I have ever known, I love his voice, love how he plays the piano and am just all out inspired by him. He's a musician who does it for a living and loves doing it, and that is so freaking awesome. Thank you for blessing us with your talent as well.

Post 94 by Corpse-Grinder (Veteran Zoner) on Saturday, 20-Apr-2013 13:38:44

@LatinoHeat, thank you for mentioning me. lol. But yu and the rest of the crew are my primary reason for being here. Otherwise, I have nothing to do here. I still try to make time even though my life has been changing significantly now.

Post 95 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Tuesday, 25-Mar-2014 17:12:47

I'd have to add Bernadetta to the list also.

Post 96 by Dolce Eleganza (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Wednesday, 26-Mar-2014 2:35:24

I have more. I might repeat some, as I've gotten to know them more over the
course of this year.
Crazy Kate, I really enjoy talking to you on privates as I learn a lot from yo.
You are very intelligent and so sweet.
Naked Dave, you're funny and greet people when they log on. Thanks for
making this sight a bit more joyful.
Wayne, you bring other sides of the arguments in debates, I love that! You also
know the real deal on getting good deals and shopping online, damn that's cool
And you're such a sweety, for real!
Joe Mas you rich chocolate biscket, lol! I can't help but laugh when you log on
because you're so satirical towards people, thank you!
StormJames. You're cool and smart. I love reading your board posts.
Monza, thank you for helping me out with my mac and for making me laugh,
you're awesome.
Yo Dale you're so adventurous and cool and extremely funny! ahahaha lol!
Cody, you've fought me how to debate. I remember when I first posted on the
sight you were the first to challenge me and Oh how I hated you for that. But
Lol I've gotten over myself in that sense, and I learned to genuinely appreciate
your humor, honesty and sarcasm in your constructive debates. I must admit
you've made me laugh several times with your posts. Thank you!
Wise bernadetta, thank you for your perspective on things and for your advise. I
really annoy reading your posts because you make me see things in a different
way. You also make me feel good by knowing that there are good mothers. I
think you are one of them.
Anthony, thank you for being a great CL and friend. You're fair and nice.
Ryan you evil thing, I hate admitting this but you're so fucking awesome! And
you're so funny too. You're truly a good friend, thank you for everything! No
wait, what? I didn't say anything, just go away lol!
Oh, and Jorge AKA fail. You bad devil. Oh my god I love how we both have the
music in comun. It's been a wonderful year of friendship and you're such a
wonderful person. Thank you for trusting me and for being such a genuine
friend.
Oh my god if I forgot someone, sorry. It's a little late and I might come back
and post. But thank you all for making this site an enjoyable and friendly one! :)
Dolce

Post 97 by Dolce Eleganza (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Wednesday, 26-Mar-2014 2:43:02

I am so sorry for my typos. No bernadetta I meant I enjoy reading your posts.
Just gotta clear that up.

Post 98 by Siriusly Severus (The ESTJ 1w9 3w4 6w7 The Taskmaste) on Friday, 28-Mar-2014 16:20:37

forgot some folks:

james the radio gy: or something like that, now he's a ham. anyway, brilliant friend of mine, loves the same music mostly, we get in to the weirdest oddest conversations about music, and also the deepest, we just sat there for two hours talking about pete seeger.

country music singer/blind musician: or whatever he goes by can't remember on here. or eddie salcido, again, we had our ups and downs. but we agree mostly, well, I like folk musician and he hates them but that's whatever. still inspiring in everyway, knows, at lot, and amazing country singer, and song writer.
Adrian leon: yeah, folks is going to say, what? why him? He's kind, maybe weird, but certainly not bad as some folks like to make him out to be. just like james they both can't spell hahahaha!

oh did I mention kcirehs? youi need to call me more by the way, dear friend hahaha! and yes, I know you're reading this!!!!!!!

timothyclark13: maybe a bit over religious and we don't really talk anymore but still. someone worthwhile to talk to dedicated and passionate to his music and his god!

Post 99 by Blue Velvet (I've got the platinum golden silver bronze poster award.) on Friday, 28-Mar-2014 21:41:39

Eddie was banned from the site a long time ago. STILL admire him? LOL. You know there is a vast difference between liking someone and admiring them, at least in my book. I can definitely like someone whom I don't particularly admire, and I have admired people for something they do but can't really say I like them.

Post 100 by Dolce Eleganza (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Saturday, 29-Mar-2014 1:41:20

I agree with blue velvet. And not like people don't keep contact by other means,
so who knows. I do know Eddie, and he's a really nice person from what I've
gathered. :)

Post 101 by season (the invisible soul) on Saturday, 29-Mar-2014 3:16:01

Totally agree with post 99 and 100. I think there are big different between like and admire. I can admire someone without knowing them left alone liking them. To like someone, i need to first knowing the person first, and it is more personal than purely admiring that person.

Post 102 by AgateRain (Believe it or not, everything on me and about me is real!) on Saturday, 29-Mar-2014 16:52:46

Um yes, I believe there was sarcasm going on? Lol

Post 103 by blbobby (Ooo you're gona like this!) on Saturday, 29-Mar-2014 17:05:19

I wish there was a way to find out why a person was banned from the site.
Sure, it's none of my business but it sure would make for some good gossip.

Bob

Post 104 by Striker (Consider your self warned, i'm creative and offensive like handicap porn.) on Saturday, 29-Mar-2014 19:10:57

I'd say this was a good idea, in theory. though considering how many spam
accounts the zone bands, maybe not.
On a lot of muds I play though, they have mail lists called things like crime and
punishment.
so when someone gets banned, you can subscribe to the list and find out why.
Also applies to punishments of other kinds.
Its a lot like seeing news reports of criminals on TV. That kind of deterrent stops
some people from being idiots.

Post 105 by season (the invisible soul) on Saturday, 29-Mar-2014 22:13:55

hahaha Bob, you didn't strike me as someone who care about josips. See how Zone changed a person? lol jk

Post 106 by rdfreak (THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE-BLUE KANGA-KICKIN AUSIE) on Wednesday, 02-Apr-2014 0:44:17

If it were about ten years ago, I'd list people but sadly none of them come on here any more so it would kinda be pointless.
I don't get along with many people who frequent the zone these days, mostly because I keep to myself anyway. Lol.
But Dolce, I hadn't honestly read this post so a belated thank you for listing me and you're also a sweet girl and since you're now on my skype, we will chat sometime. :)

Post 107 by rdfreak (THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE-BLUE KANGA-KICKIN AUSIE) on Wednesday, 02-Apr-2014 0:45:54

Oh, I gotta add to that; Kate, (crazy), we haven't spoken for years but thanks for adding me back to skype and hope we can catch up again soon; I remember you from the teen list you ran so we go back a long way. :)

Post 108 by Winterfresh (This is who I am, an what I am about. If you don't like it, too damn bad!!!) on Tuesday, 08-Apr-2014 5:47:18

Ok. I can't believe I'm posting to this board for like the 5th time or something
ridiculous, but here we go.
1. Amelia, Ileen Dover, my mob princess, vino drinking, mobster banging little
sister, Had to do it.
I love you so damn much. Thank you for always being there to make any of us
laugh when we're at our worst. You really are very mature for your age. Yeah,
I'm serious Sissy, you are, and I love how you trust those you're closest to to
show them your happy crazy obnoxious side and the vulnerable sweet side.
Thank you for calling things like you see them and always being a good listener.
Never ever change who you are Sissy. I love you!!!
2. Nehemiah, SingerOfSongs
What can I say? This guy is the true definition of friend. You are one of the most
genuine people I've ever met, you truly have a huge and giving heart and a kind
and gentle persona about you and an even sweeter soul. Thank you for being
there for me at a time when I felt very alone and isolated. Thank you for
bringing me out and pushing me harder to keep going when I didn't want to.
Thank you for staying with me at the CCB Banquet thing and hanging out with
me at convention. I'm so sorry if I'm ever mean to you Hun, I don't mean to be.
Having you at my graduation from CCB was so special. I'm so glad we're
friends, I love you lots and I hope we continue to hang out more.
3. Alicia, SisterDawn
We haven't known each other for very long, but the Skype call with you, me,
and Scott for like 6 hours was a blast. I don't think we left any subject
untouched lol, from our friends to Facebook and center life. I am so glad for
some of the talks we've had and hearing your insight to things. You are one of
the best CLs this sight has ever seen and you brought something so great to it.
Thanks for my premium. :) I love you very much and I hope our friendship
continues to grow. You're an amazing person and I hope for nothing but the
best for you.
4. Melly Mel, Melissa
Mrayer. My butterfly. Oh Sweetheart, I just adore you. I can't believe we met
when we were both 14 and then reconnected all these years later. Seriously it
was one of the funniest moments of our friendship when we both realized it. I
love you to bits. You have one of the prettiest voices and your talent with words
and art is unparalleled. You are such a gift to all of us and I'm so glad I know
you. Thank you for being an amazing listener and trusting me so much. We
really need to keep up with each other more. Keep your head up when you go
through rough patches girl, the butterfly will fly through those always, and kitty
loves Buttterfly very very much. Still remember that you covered green eyes
and dedicated it to me, you beautiful girl.
5. James, StormWing
My ambiguous Texan, you crazy motherfucker. We have gotten unbelievably
close in the last year or so, and I couldn't be more grateful for that. You are
such a fun guy to be around with a wicked sense of humor, but you're not afraid
to call me on my shit when it needs to be called. Thank you for being so
nonjudgmental when I tell you things about my past and thank you to be so
willing to share experiences with me. I hope our friendship grows in amazing
ways and that we get to meet soon. You rock and I will take that whip from you
some day. Lol much love Dork.
6. Pipi, Blondy McConfusion
I could go on and on and on and on about you all day. No, really, I could. My big
sister, you've known me since, in your words at graduation, I was a sixteen-
year-old brat. How you've put up with me this long, I'll never know, but I just
love you so much. Thank you for all you've done for me, thank you for taking
care of me when I needed it, making sure I made my own decisions but always
supporting me, and for telling me what I needed to hear when others weren't so
willing to do so. Thank you for touching everyone you come across with your
smart ass remarks, your beautiful spirit, your awesome sense of humor, and of
course, your warm and nurturing heart. One more thing, thank you for that
amazing little girl you're raising. You're one of the best mothers I know,
Savannah is an angel and I know she got that from her angel mother, you. I
love you Sissy and I'm so proud of you. All you've been through has inspired me
to be better and I can't wait to see what your future holds.
7. Carina, BeautifulBeloved
Carina Carina, Sorry, had to. Getting to know you outside the zone these past
nine months has just been so special. It's been awesome watching you grow
and progress, like Pipi. I cannot wait to sit at your graduation, like Pipi as well,
cheering you as you receive your bell. You're a ferocious fighter for what you
believe in, and I love that about you. You are also so sweet when one of your
loved ones is in trouble or are in need of a kind word. Thank you for all our
talks, thank you for letting me confide in you and confiding in me. It was a true
pleasure to be in class with you, I know we had lots of fun in travel getting
blown about by the wind and finding that awesome breakfast place. Lol. I love
you and I can't wait to see what's next for you. P.s. I'll be at the wedding. Don't
punch me for that lol.
8. Abby, VilinAngel37794 I think is what you go by
You're so so so unbelievably sweet. Thank you for being such an amazing
listener and listening to my advice as well. Things are gonna keep getting better
for you and you are such a strong strong person. I love you so much and am so
proud of all the awesome things you are gonna accomplish. I log you
sweetheart. Keep shining, keep singing, and never ever give up.
10. Ryan, Phantom of the opera
Love, it's been a crazy 4 or so years. Losing touch with you for two years was
really sad, but I'm glad we connected again. Thank you for being an amazing
friend. Thank you for being understanding, even though it can be hard
sometimes. Thank you for having such a good heart and soul. You are always
willing to learn, and always stubborn as hell, but I'd not trade that about you for
the world. Keep singing and pursuing your dreams, don't let anyone take those
away. We'd better meet soon, that's all I'm saying. Lol. I love you Sweetie.
11. This goes to two people who shall remain nameless. Thank you for teaching
me lessons in humility. Thank you for reminding me that you may be able to
forgive, but you can never forget.
12. Ash, Cheetalover1
I haven't talked to you in a pretty minute, but thank you so much for all you
taught me. We had so much fun playing scope and staying up late talking. I love
your insight and I love how open you are to telling your story. You're beyond
awesome and I miss talking to you. We need to talk more soon.
13. Faraaz, TheCharismatic_Enigma
I know what you're thinking. You posted about him already. Yes, I know, but
honestly, that first post didn't do him justice. There is no one on this earth like
you. No one, you are truly one of a kind. I have appreciated knowing you this
past year and a half. I've never met someone so loyal and protective as you,
and so steadfast in your beliefs. Thank you for connecting me to what they are
and enlightening me the way you do. Talking with you whether it's about music
wrestling, religion and zpolitics, or if you're just giving me shit as usual, is a
highlight of my days. Thank you for trusting me enough to be the first lady of
ThingsDesSays, it's an honor to work with all three of you and learn from those
awesome minds of you'res You are one of the most intelligent people I've ever
met. Thank you for being one of the few people who has the power to give me
the firmest of wake up calls when I'm being an idiot and not seeing sense, but
also for being a rock when I'm upset and I need to cry or vent. I love you so
much, you're one of my best friends and I'm so glad you're in my life.
So, the last post got cut off but it can't be short so one more post. Muahahaha.

Post 109 by Winterfresh (This is who I am, an what I am about. If you don't like it, too damn bad!!!) on Tuesday, 08-Apr-2014 6:06:31

14. Last but certainly not least, Scott, Undead libertine
My love, again, another one I could just go on and on and on but I won't. Ok I'll
go on a little, since the jerk gets a post to himself. Lol. Who'd have thought five
years ago, that annoying teenaged girl who was chasing you all over ZBP would
end up your girlfriend. Lol. I'm not gonnna lie, you were different from what I
expected when we started to get to know each other, and I know I was different
than what you expected me to be. You are one of the most outspoken people
I've ever met, so unafraid to speak your mind, unashamed of what other people
may think. If they agree or disagree, who gives a shit, you just go right out and
say it and damn the consequences? That's one of the things I admire so about
you. Your writing, your music, your comedy, all amazing. This last 14 months
getting to know you has been so awesome and this past 9 months of being with
you has blown my mind. I love every side to you, your outspoken side and your
very tender and sweet side that not many people know about. Thank you for
showing me what a stable loving relationship is supposed to be like. Thank you
for spoiling me when I've had a bad day and giving me the I love you, but
you're acting like a child talk when I need it. I love how you fight for what you
believe and how you never stop. You're an amazing man, a loving and caring
boyfriend, an awesome writer, and one of the most devoted fathers I've ever
seen. I'm so glad to call you mine and to have you in my life. I love you so so so
much my Baby.
